i'm going to be here in this godforsaken town cooking and feeding a wide range of children, driving said children around, doing laundry and wishing i was making out with diane lane in unfaithful. what else would i be doing? what else could possibly be more fulfilling?

YOU TEASE!

I can assure you my weekend will involve gross amounts of alcohol and argument and will still be more routine than yours. Give my best to her though and tell her I'm almost ready to forgive her for that crappy john cusack movie though.

Sunday: Sleep most of the day. Eat a lot. Read. Finish Buffy season 1 on dvd, maybe start season 2.

Not trying to kiss ass here, but an age ago there was a thread about myspace pages and i checked yours & others but a Riviera track kicked in on yours. I liked it a lot so i think i am gonna check out more.

Their new songs are finishing up. They've got a new one up there that's great. The new album has lost the "alt-country" feel that so many felt the need to tag them with from the first.

The new one is pure rock. I'm biased so I think it sounds great(of course I've heard all the new songs).

Sounds good. Ive heard a lot of stuff that have been tagged with alt-country and like, in fact if i hear the word "twang" i will ignore it. Just not my thing, but that Riviera track i heard was damn good. I'm sure i am missing out on some bands because of this.

bring back a review of guillemots. i'm sorta into them, but the singer's voice sometimes annoys me. he needs to be on broadway with clay aiken or something.

i thought they were horrible live. i walked out after five songs. they looked totally disinterested in playing. their gimmicks wore off very quickly. the girl is hot, but a bitch. they don't seem comfortable onstage. and they took way too much time between songs.

the mallards yeah, you've got to kill a mallard once in a while, or a lame snow duck, but a mandarin, that's a sexy duck...

Saw them at SXSW, wasn't that impressed -- like the album better.

Today: Go to work and help judge the 4th year neuroscience and psychology poster presentations. This could be fun and/or painful. Probably equal parts of each. I can only hope I get some shithead with an attitude because hilarity will ensue after that. Once that's done, grab a few drinks at the pub. After that, I don't know. Probably cook some pasta at home.

Tomorrow/Day After: Absolutely nothing. It was forecast to be nice tomorrow (high 15 degrees C), but the fucking environment canada can't predict shit and now it's supposed to be about 5 degrees. So that fucks up my sitting on the deck, drinking beer and grilling meat plans. Now it's just drinking which, while slightly disappointing, is not the end of the world.

Tonight: Nothing and I'm soooo looking forward to it

Saturday: Sleep in, continue spring cleaning, shop for a birthday gift, celebrate a friend's birthday at The Troubadour, meanwhile, have Sondre Lerche playing for us onstage.

Sunday: Sleep in, then mosey over to Billy's for Phil's grand brunch fiesta!

I like this weekend's plans...totally chill.

Tomorrow: Clean house, clean out some closets, go look at houses to consider purchasing, and then hit some BBQ with workmates of FemGar

Sunday: Monger, Monger, Monger, Monger

Good choices, both were excellent. Particularly the former, you will dig it.
