Since London Calling is our Listmania number 1, you think Homeland Security is lurking here?

Can't be any worse than Attila The Stockbroker's "Burn It Down".

Nice quote. Nice.

Gosh, I was singing "Guns of Brixton" on my way to work today... happy I made it here without a police investigation.

When they kick at your front door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

When the law break in
How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement
Or waiting on death row

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh, the guns of Brixton

I'm obviously in with gang violence or somethin'.

edit: insert some smart-ass comment about how Led Zepplin is low-risk listening because no one can figure out what the h*ll the lyrics are about anyway.

(<--big fan of both bands)

Hah, Guns Of Brixton is a standard walking-to-work tune for me. Only a matter of time.

I miss Joe like hippies miss Jerry. It was just nice knowing he was there, you know?

Guns of Brixton-related, unnecessary confession:

My friend & I one day started singing to chorus as:

"Whoa-oh Ma-ssive Kit-ten!"

Now I can't sing it normally.

Such a wicked song.

The best Clash song for walking is "This is Radio Clash", IMO.

such a wicked song is 100% exactly right. i usually allow massholes to reserve the right to use that word but it applies perfectly here.

so wicked in fact that i just listened to it 3 times in order to type out the lyrics.

when they kick at your front door
how you gonna come?
with your hands on your head
or on the trigger of your gun?

When the law break in
how you gonna go
shot down on the pavement
or waiting on death row

you can crush us
you can bruise us
but you'll have to answer to
the guns of brixton

the money feels good
and your life you like it well
but surely your time will come
as in heaven as in hell

you say he feels like ivan
born under the brixton sun
his game is called surviving
at the end of the harder they come

you know it means no mercy
they caught him with a gun
no need for the black Mariah
goodbye to the brixton sun

when they kick at your front door
how yo ugonna come
with your hands on your head
or on the trigger of your gun

you can crush us
you can bruise us
you can even shoot us
the guns of the brixton
