Just saw these London, Ontario legends play their first show in MTL since 1988, and it was fucking debilitating. These golden-aged noise makers have been making since the mid-60s, and unquestionably delivered one of the most guttural, brutal and spasmodic performances I've ever been part of. Truly something special. I'll post something when I get something.

I don't know this band and the fact I lived in London for 7 years annoys me.

Yes, considering that they have a Monday night residency that's been running for 40 years, I'd say that's annoying.

The NSB was formed in 1965 by a group of people who enjoyed music and wanted to play in a band. There was no desire to learn to play traditional instruments so kazoos were bought and assorted noise makers modified or built from scratch. The band started playing regularly every Monday night in 1966 and has just carried on .The personal has stayed the same. John Boyle (artist) kazoo and drums, John Clement (MD) guitar and drums, Bill Exley (geezer/latinist) vocals, Murray Favro (artist) guitar and Art Pratten (pensioner/gentleman of leisure) Pratt-a-various and Waterpipe. Greg Curnoe (deceased), Hugh McIntyre (deceased) and Archie Leitch (permanently retired) play less often.

The band currently plays most every Monday night at "Dissent" 210 Dundas Street in London, Ontario, Canada. The atmosphere is informal. We play for our own enjoyment but an audience is welcome.

Been a fan of theirs for a few years now. One of the craziest bands I've listened to. I'm glad with the emerging noise scene to a more mainstream population has also dragged them up as well.
