a few weeks ago i saw krzysztof kieslowski's bleu. i'm a big juliette binoche fan and i love, love, loved it. what a great story. i just want to clarify the ending with someone without spoiling it for anyone else.

anybody (chris?) see this? you should because it's perfect.

edit: okay, yeah, it should be bleu. damn french.

I totally forgot about the Three Colors trilogy (White, Blue, Red). If you watched Blue, Laura, you should definitely watch the other two. I think White stars Julie Delpy from Before Sunset but I could be wrong. It's been a while.

red is my favorite, followed by blue, then white. but, that's purely an aesthetic preference of one focus/vibe over the other 2, which are both just as well-made, etc.

Cool. I think the order is blue, white, and red, so you may wanna wait to watch White first cause Red is the conclusion of the trilogy. White is more of a lighthearted romantic comedy, well, compared to the other two anyway.

it is, but i think white has been ripped off from the movie store because it's never there and i've been chomping at the bit to see these so ill watch red and hunt white down this week.

This is soooo weird because I almost ordered the whole trilogy last week. I had it in my Target Basket online.

I've only seen Blue and Red, and I thought both were phenomenal.

Though it has been many years since I've seen either. I only remember a little of Blue's ending but I vividly remember Red's.

I've seen it within the last year and can't quite remember the ending of Blue, either, though Red and White I recall fine. And the bulk of Blue I remember... but not the end. Hmmm.

Every time I here about these movies, I think of Paul Barman "My pissed off jimbroski turned three colors like Kryzstof Kieslowski"

Haven't seen any of these b/c of my since-rescinded "no subtitles" rule.

I haven't seen these for so long, and I can't say why, but I know I thought White was the best of the three.

oh. ayah, please try and hunt down white before watching red. the order does lend itself to the story in many ways.

I like Red the best, then White, then Blue..but considering that I love Blue, the whole thing is golden.

aero, thanks so much for suggesting i watch them in order. i watched red last night and white the night before.

what a stellar trilogy. red was great with it's slow pace and fairly minimal dialogue that really had you focusing on the lives and emotions of the characters.

white was bittersweet and funny and heartbreaking at the same time. i fell in love with the main character.

and the ending...brilliant and quite a surprise. i want to get these on dvd. i've got to watch them again.

my ranking: bleu, red, white but like you said they were all so good it doesn't really matter.
