sprecher is the best, but a&w is a good alternative.

I completely agree with this sentiment.
Especially when said root beer is on tap... there is a diffrence.

Goose Island makes a fine root beer. I thought I grabbed one at lunch today, but realized it was diet about half a sip into it. Not the same. Tastes like chemical root beer.

The Sprecher's okay, they serve it at the Noodle Compnay by us. Never had the draft, but as for bottles, Stewart's beats it hands down.
