WHAT THE FUCK. seriously, I'm so pissed I can't even see straight. 3 W-2s, I make very little money, and I owe for the second year in a row. Today blows.

I'm going to take a shit in an envelope and mail it to them. I'm supposed to leave for Vegas 5 days later and at this rate I might not even be going.

We did my taxes at home, I think there's something fucked up with one of my W-2s because they didn't seem to have taken very much in the way of federals out each month. I'd send them off to some financial panther, but considering how late it is and how much I seem to owe, I'm afraid it would result in my owing $486 instead of the aforementioned amount.

no philly wage tax, I work in Lansdowne.

and billy, if the decision was mine I'd never be going, but it's for one of my oldest friends and since all the preparations have been made I'd feel like a complete dick to back out now.

Cotton, your Federal Tax deductions are based on your earnings per paycheck. Say that you work a P/T job earning $500 every pay period (we'll assume it's biweekly), the taxes are calculated as if you earned $13,000 ($500 x 26 pay periods) in the year. In addition to that, your status and number of allowances (eg, single - 2 allowances) determine how much will be deducted per pay period. Maybe it's time to submit a new W-4.

This is my first year getting money back. Having a baby works like that. It's pretty awesome, because I wasn't paying attention when putting all the crap in the TaxAct software and it took my wife pointing out that we were getting a REFUND rather than owing like I thought we did. I just saw the numbers and assumed we were paying - again - because we ALWAYS owed in the past.

I've got a $4,000 tax debt right now. Come June I'll owe another 5 grand. And believe me, I am NOT looking forward to the inevitable phone call from Revenue Canada.
