Crap on a cracker! I was like a little over a month from GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL then!!! If I hadn't been subjected to involuntary teenage celibacy and lived in Nebraska, you could be my son.

I get bummed on birthdays a bit, so I feel ya. I turned 30 a few months back. On a grander scale, you're not reeeeally in control anyway - shit's just sorta gonna present itself to you. Just make the right choices with it.

It gets much better (for me anyway) at about 29. I actually enjoyed 30. But I have a wonderful wife, I got into a good program in grad school, and I finally know what I wanna do. Those were the biggies for me, and I have some answers for them now.

It gets a little better for a couple of years before it starts going down hill.

My wife will be 38 tomorrow and she's twice as hot as when I met her.
Sometimes the downhill part only lasts for a few years until you can get some shit together.

Though it was only 4 years ago that I was 22, I would probably go back and slap the credit cards out of my hand. I had fun though partying it up and graduating college, and rocking a new job full of ambition.

24 is the only year I can remember of my early 20's. And it was good.

I think.

Thank you all,

yes it isn't really so bad in the grand scheme of things. Also having Cystic Fibrosis, which i do, it gives me another year to say i beat it.

Now this is something to celebrate (coming from someone whose cousin had it)

I say go and get yourself a drink NOW
