I'm working on a PowerPoint presentation and I want to listen to someone talking instead of music. I went to NPR.org and it's been so long since I've listened to that station, I don't know what's good anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions for podcasts or NPR shows?

if you go to wbur.org there are a couple of "news magazine"-type shows:
here & now
day to day

A couple standard political call-in shows:
talk of the nation
on point

fresh air w/ terry gross (an interview show)

there, I pretty much outlined wbur's entire daily programing. . .

Thanks. I'm difficult to please today. Feeling very antsy because it's like 70 degrees and sunny outside and I'm trapped in a fluorescent lit cubicle trying to figure out what piece of cheesy clip art best represents non-profits and their tax issues.

Ira Glass' "This American Life" -- some brilliant episodes in the audio archives.

I stumbled across days worth of great interviews (mostly with Comedians and a few musicians/writers and such) on The Sound of Young America show. There's also the official Lost podcast (because I'm a dork) and the University Channel Podcast (basically college lectures from a huge variety of different sources) and the Democracy Now (lefty-slanted news) all on itunes for free...

slate podcasts are quick and easy. I've been pretty much listening exclusively to On Point podcasts for a while now.
