 Post subject: Ripping audio from a DVD

Is this possible without having to download several dozen different software programs and then reading (and understanding) 70 pages of computer geek jargon?

Surely there has to be an easier way?

If there is, please let me know.

i usually rip the entire dvd audio as a wav file and then edit it down, although i'm sure that you can just use whatever audio program you have to record from the sound card as it plays on the screen.

I had a program that did this automatically. I forget what it is now because I only had the trial version. You should ask FT, I got the name of it from him.

Me, too. Right outta the back of the DVD into the stand-alone burner.

Or, the MiniDisc will do it, too. Man, why did they fall from grace???

I use DVD Audio Extractor. It's shareware, but it does exactly what you want.
