I went to drop a deuce in a gas station on the Jers'turnpike and my butt took one look at the place and threw up.

Once, in my post-high school days, I was at some outdoor heavy metal festival somewhere and really had to take a dump bad. All they had there was port-o-potties and there was a long line but I put up with it and waited my turn because the urge to go was really strong. Anyways, the inside of the portable toilet wasn't so bad but I was half drunk at the time and unfortunately it took me longer than usual to finish my business there much the dismay of the belligerent metalheads in queue. At first I could hear people complaining, then yelling before it finally progressed into a toilet intifada. People started throwing heavy objects like bricks while I was inside and began rocking the toilet from side to side to get me out of there.

When I finally exited the toilet there was a huge, screaming mob waiting for me.

even in my own house i wipe off the toilet seat before i use the restroom, and i will not go in any bathroom even in my house barefoot.

i think these are public pool induced phobias.

nothing is worse than a pool bathroom. sopping wet floors, wet toilet paper, wet everything, and you can't tell if it's urine or chlorinated water.
that's why i don't go to the pool.
and well, theres that one in the backyard.

whatever, germs are good for you. try using some third world toilets and then get back to me.

This has been me for years. I am better than I used to be. I have some mental exercises to help me concentrate. I also have issues with the non-sterile environment.

i fucking hate it when i walk in to the stall here at work and someone left the nastiest shit in there without flushing and i know it's that nasty-ass socially inept fat dude who sit's two cubes over.

I guess I don't have many issues with public restrooms. I've definitely been in some unsavory ones, but you do what you have to do or you get out of there. I'm not dying as a result of a horrible bacterial infection or some such thing yet.

So, err... a few weeks ago someone opened a locked stall door on me. I had made sure it was secure before sitting down, but the door just opens for this guy. Ever since then, I try to avoid the handicap stall, since the doors swing out instead of in.

I've fallen asleep sitting on toilets in bars so apparently I have no problem with them.

Yeah I'm sorry if you all lose respect for me but I have no public toilet fears. I don't ever frequent bars or truck stops so I don't see the worst of the public restrooms that are out there, but nonetheless, when i gotta go i gotta go, community pooper or not.

In four years, I never took a dump at my high school - no doors on the stalls. That is just horrifying.

Nastiest public bathroom I ever took a dump in was at a frat house in Geneva NY during a party - a freaking CHICK opened my unlockable stall while I WAS TRYING TO WIPE. Dammit.

Yeah I never could do that either. I'd wait til after school and go to McDonald's or something.

I don't have any real phobias, but I do get the 'stage fright' thing from time to time. And I usually refuse to uh, update-the-captain's-log in any bathroom but my own. Unless I just really have to. But, I HATE when girls hover rather than sit on toilets. I am too short to hover effectively. Hovering is what causes splatters on the seat- if everyone sat, it wouldn't be so gross.

I doubt the McD's bathrooms were much cleaner.

That said, I never even went to the bathroom in elementary, middel, nor high school. I just held it all day long until I got home. I never saw the insides of the bathrooms at my middle or high school. I kind of wish I had that kind of will power nowadays.

But the McD bathrooms did have locks on the stall doors, or even doors for that matter.

The only place I've ever been completely incapable of taking the Browns to the Super Bowl was the upstairs restroom at my high school, which had a line of six toilets with NO STALLS!!! Worse than prison, even.
