The Kinks

1. Village Green Preservation Society
2. Arthur
3. Something Else
4. Lola
5. Muswell Hillbillies
6. Face to Face
7. Kink Kontroversy

Anybody know of a good early singles comp? That one from '89 is OOP and goes for like $20+ used on ebay/half.com. Something like that is pretty much the last thing I need to complete my Kinks collection. That and maybe Misfits.

I was in Best Buy the other day and couldn't decide what other dvd to buy so I go to the cd section and I'm looking for The Kinks and there was NOTHING AT ALL FOR THEM! Not even a marker card...I was disgusted.

Yeah, it's sad. In a perfect world, they'd get just as big a push as The Who, Hendrix, The Doors, Grateful Dead, and all of the other stuff sold as the "Classis Rock That Matters". As it is, the decent remasters of their best albums are only available as imports here.

Sonic Youth

1. Daydream Nation
2. Sister
3. Dirty
4. Evol
5. Goo
6. Murray Street
7. Washing Machine
8. A Thousand Leaves
9. Confusion Is Sex
10. NYC Ghosts & Flowers

One of these days I'm finally gonna get a copy of Experimental Jet Set. I'm pretty sure I'll like it more than my #9 or 10 there. It was the first SY I ever heard, and based on that, I initially thought I didn't like them.

3. Protection
4. 100th Window
Haven't heard 'No Protection' all the way thru.

edit: Also, I really dig 100th Window even though it's last. I appreciate Massive enormously.

1. Post
2. Homogenic
3. Vespertine
4. Debut
5. Medulla

1. Purple
2. Tiny Music
3. Core
4. No. 4
5. Shangra La

easily.

for Bjork, I'd say:

1. Homogenic
2. Post
3. Selmasongs
4. Medulla
5. Debut
6. Vespertine

edit: but I haven't heard Debut since I was in high school. I was never crazy about it, but I've never been a big Bjork fan.

I don't have Selma Songs. Post and Homogenic are about even for me really, but I had to rank due to the gigantic gun held to my head.

1. OK Computer
2. The Bends
3. Amnesiac
4. Kid A
5. HTTT

Mine are very similar to Drinky Crow, except the top two need to be flipped.

1. 13 Songs
2. Red Medicine

1. Arthur
2. Village Green Preservation Society

1. Post
2. Homogenic

1. Ege Bamyasi

We really disagree on Sonic Youth though. I like Daydream Nation the best, but I love A Thousand Leaves and Washing Machine.

Still Wrong...

2. Red Medicine
3. 13 Songs
4. Repeater
5. The Argument
6. Steady Diet of Nothing
7. End Hits
8. Instrument

Instrument is worse than the Embrace s/t album and One Last Wish "1986," but better than Happy Go Licky and anything Minor Threat did.

1. Here's Where the Strings Come In
2. No Pocky For Kitty
3. Indoor Living
4. Come Pick Me Up
5. Foolish (first Superchunk I ever heard, music guest on Conan)
6. On the Mouth
7. Here's To Shutting Up
8. s/t

I never understood the hype surrounding On the Mouth. The production is, in my opinion, craptastic.
