...by Ted Leo. This is a stellar "pop/rock" album that definitely ranks in the top 5 of the last ten years for me. Not a weak song on the disc. Discuss.

It's my favorite album of his but I wouldn't put it in my top 5. I think a few songs near the end aren't as strong as some of the earlier tracks but it's still a pretty solid album.

Criminally? I'm with shiv on this one. Tails off a bit toward the end, but I really like it. I've also been listening to Hearts of Oak more lately than ever.

I only own 'Shake the Sheets' and really enjoy it. How does it compare to his other stuff?

I like it, but less than Tyranny and Hearts of Oak. I'll get you some stuff together tomorrow and you can check 'em out. For now, I gots to sleep.

This is why I love Obner.

I'm on dial-up, though, so you need not waste any of your time on me, but thank you nonetheless.

tyranny of distance is exceptional. "timorous me" is one of my maybe ten favorite songs. some of the weak songs near the end do bring it down, so it's not his most consistent, but i didn't think the last two were amazing either. i'm anxious for his next release on touch & go.

Thank you all for your support.

IMO, Tyranny>Shake The Sheets>Hearts (although all are still good).

Everyone should hear Ted Leo. PM me for a link, if interested.

IMO the absolute best 'Ted Leo' album is Chisel's Set You Free from 1997. Their album before that, 8AM All Day isn't nearly as good though, and avoid at all costs that horrible re-mix album, Tej Leo(?), RX/Pharmacists.

NP: Meneguar - I Was Born At Night (meh)

Saul Hudson is correct. So is Moby. Except for the Tej fiasco, everything Pharmacists-related Leo has ever done is absolutely outstanding. Also, DO NOT MISS A CHANCE TO SEE THESE GUYS LIVE!!! They fucking BRING IT!
