Anyone seen a Destroyer show? I'm beggining to see what a grower Rubies is and I'm really hoping it translates well live.

Saw em befor Rubies, they rocked, surprisingly, even on the slower numbers. Usually Bejar isnt quite fucked up by the time the Destroyer set starts, so its pretty tight.

I bought rubies. I am not digging it at all...

So it was OK. I'd give the show a 6 outa 10. The main problem was that they played the whole set on electric guitars when a lot of the album uses an acoustic, which MAKES Destroyers sound, imo. I know they just wanted to make it loud, but I would have been into the music more if it sounded more like it does on the album. The guitars were so loud, you couldn't really make out the vocals, which is another of Destroyers strengths.
