I personally go for the pigment dyed shirts. the colors are richer and not so plastic looking. they also age well and get more interesting with more washes. Those heather shirts are nice too.

But To be different have you thought of a sepia colored shirt with white or a dark indigo shirt with white? and the revferse works well too.
