Yeah this link was posted somewhere else. Maybe by you? I skimmed through the album and it sounds utterly awesome.

i think it's fucking awesome. it's more "pop" i guess, because of the vocals, yet it's better than typical stuff that has this feel.

Wasn’t me, my loyalty is here. So if I found it this board would be the first to know. Sounds amazing…

some of it is pretty lame, but the high points (teen angst) have really stuck with me.

i also like that it's a whole sequenced album of sorts - everything is intentional, not just thrown together.

Thanks, mang! DLing it now! This'll go nicely as I'm waiting at the airport all day, for the snow to let up, so I can go partake in 4 days of madness in Vegas.

not really into it. some of the vocals are downright terrible.

This is so funny. I knew I saw it here but had no idea where, so I did a search for M83. The only one’s with a title of M83 were about the last album, wasn’t going to search every thread.

So thanks, Davey! Need to get into a discussion about Last Exit as I now know that album.

Now that I've had a chance to listen to this album I have to say that I'm disappointed. It's so uneven.

Track#5: wtf?...and that woman's voice in the background of all that industrial fuzz noise. Is she having an orgasm?

Track#9: Can't stop...I can't stop, yeah. (repeat X1000)

*sigh*

When I put on their song "Gone" it still sends a chill down my spine. Awesome atmospherics. M83 should stick to doing that.

thanks for the link!
has anybody seen them live? I tried to go see them with Ulrich Schnauss this fall, but it sold out. I'm curious if it was any good...

I just picked up the new record and listening to it now. So far, it's decent. Very song/pop structured compared to Dead Cities. I like this record better...so far.

I'm not sure what to think of the new Prefuse 73 record yet.
This will really have to grow on me.

This is funny that this thread is being bumped.

A friend, who is on the seek, asked me to listen to “Don’t Save Us From the Flames” and so I played it. He is a DJ and was going to use it to open up his radio show. I was thinking wait is this a cover? I have heard this song before. It finally came to me and the music is Super Furry Animals “God! Show Me Magic.” It’s not exact but so close they should give them songwriting credit.

I think I like this album but there is so much good stuff this year that I never remember to play it.

Damn, I knew there was something I was forgetting. Was going to get Louis XIV but going to fix that now and need Teenage Fanclub badly!
