Say wha?

well, the mets are my team, so i only get to see them a few times each year now. i'm already going to their friday and saturday milwaukee games. and then the july game is when my parents are in town, so they got the tickets for us to go. and i'd feel really bad ditching them for a show. although, considering os mutantes are playing the next day and the only bands i really do want to see on saturday are man man and hot machines, i'll probably be at the game.

I don't give a single fuck about sports. Something about grown men running around like kids on the elementary school playground while receiving millions of dollars doesn't appeal to me.

I'm pretty much not into sports at all so this is easy for me. I like playing sports, but I haven't developed the emotional attachment to it like other heterosexual males.

I've often wondered this. As an avid mountain biker, I would have to kill myself if I couldn't ride anymore.

Without music, I'd surely shrivel up and die. But, as I'm losing my hearing quite rapidly, the decision is being made for me. :(

Life goes on!

In high school, I was a gymnast and a sprinter on the varsity track team. I was also in both the marching band and the concert band. In college, I majored in music. What do you think I gave up?? Now I can't run a mile or touch my toes to save my life (I can still do a really sloppy backflip though). So yeah, sports is gone. Unless you count darts as sports, 'cause now that I'm a drunk townie, that's the only game I get involved in.

If I lived outside of Nebraska, I would give up sports, since I don't really have a real attachment to any team that is not affiliated with the University of Nebraska.
While I am here, it would be quite difficult to choose. I can go without personally seeing a husker game and even watching it on tv, but I usually follow it on the internet or radio if I am unable to watch.
As for music, I don't buy that many cd's these days and could easily cut back on shows, but I have to listen to a little music each day.
I'd probably say sports, but I would need to rewarded with more shows.

sports. i'd say this should be a poll, except i'm guessing most on this board are going to say they'd give up sports.

wow, this truly is one of the most difficult questions that's been asked since i don't know when. does anyone remember hearing that one of the rumors surrounding michael hutchence's (inxs) death was that he'd suffered a serious head injury and he'd lost his sense of smell & taste? the guy was a bon vivant and huge wine enthusiast and since he couldn't taste anything anymore he chose death, albeit a weird one. to me, there's no separating the two, but if my life depended on it, then sadly enough, i say sports....
