With all this guitar speak, let's keep it going. Who are some of your favorite secondary guys?

Quick list to kick it off...
Dicky Betts (Allman Bros.)
Malcolm Young (AC/DC)
Rick Derringer (Jonny and later Edgar Winter)
Bob Weir (Dead)

I think I really enjoy the long haired big jawed dude from radiohead. Forgive me Puma for not remembering his name. But, I really enjoy the things he does as "backup" for the rhythm.

So, by "second" you mean "rhythm"?
If that is the case, I have to go with Keith Richards.
I know that most people think of him as a lead player, but he does both. In fact, I think Mick Taylor did most of the leads on the 70's stuff, and that Brian Jones and Woodie do a lot of the leads too. (Back me up on this, Loogs.)

But, at any rate, I assert that Keef is a first-rate rhythm guitar player.

And anothe great one is Ivan Julian. Just listen to the rhythm playing on Richard Hell's Blank Generation to see what I mean.

I like Keith Richards and Ron Wood when they switch off like they did at the Super Bowl, I saw Richards mentioned above, but sort of forgot about Ronnie.

Scott Kempner of the Dictators, assuming Ross the Boss is number one. If "Top Ten" is number one, then Ross the Boss of the Dictators.

At least live, Paul Stanley uses his guitar as a complete prop.

He's a decent guitarist in the studio, but nothing special
