at my work we use a ton of instant messaging which I like...it doesn't get buried in someone's email inbox.

Email in any situation. I hate talking on the phone, period.

I definitely prefer face to face, followed by IM, phone, and then email.

e-mail. i have a CYA (aka cover your ass) file that i like to keep to back up any problems that can happened.

or aim. everyone here uses aim as a form of communication as well.

i always have my music blasting so i hate when i have to turn it down to talk on the phone.

my BIGGEST pet peeve as of late is when people come by my desk and just stand behind me waiting for me to notice them and expect me to drop everything for them right away when they can clearly see i'm in the middle of something. this new girl in my dept constantly does that when she can simply im me or e-mail me. UGH.

Oh yes. I've proved my innocence more than once this way.

Spanish creole. Whenever I need to convey a message and would prefer that the customer doesn't know I have just asked that the wine glasses get pulled off the table, or that I truly think the guy's date has righteous tits, we use spanish creole. Its a seamless transfer of info.
