i did the danskin chicagoland sprint last year, and i just signed up to do it again this july. i'm a little worried, though, because i haven't been training as hard as i should be at this point, and i too fucking hate running.

awesome! That's the one I did in 2004. What a great race... if all those cancer survivors can do it, we can too. Good luck. Have you been to beginnertriathlete.com? There are a lot of great training logs on there.

What's with the hatred for running? I email with a guy who is training for the Chicago Marathon and he's in love with it. I can't do more than a mile or two without wanting to seriously hurt someone.

My oldest is playing in his first-ever baseball game, as part of a deal for disabled children called The Miracle League. They just finished building this special field, that enables kids with walkers and wheelchairs to also play, so that should make tomorrow pretty special. And (Mike, you'll love this) my son's team is...THE ASTROS! I'm hoping he'll be their Berkman, and not just because of his build.

That is awesome, FT.

Tonight: Italian Cooking Dinner Night at boss' pad. I'm making two dishes: A main dish comprised of fusilli pasta with scallops, shrimp, roasted red & yellow peppers, zucchini and onion; and for dessert, raspberry sherbet with a splash of Limoncello Liqueur, topped with fresh raspberries. (I'm feeling very Prince of Darkness-ish)

Saturday: Day of Pampering -- hair, nails and feet; run errands; shop for new cellphone since losing mine last night. Chill with the dogs and a couple of movies later in the evening.

Sunday: One of my best friends is coming over, maybe go out for lunch, do more Spring cleaning.

No shows this weekend, but Monday night am seeing Living Things.
