My Nebraska Cornhuskers who are currently ranked 3rd or 4th in most polls and supposedly #1 in the pseudo-RPI released by Boyd's World are travelling to Austin this week to face Texas. The Longhorns are now ranked as high as 5th in the polls after struggling early on.
The Huskers are 15-12 against the Horns since the Big 12 was formed.
Nebraska is currently 30-5, while Texas is 27-13.

There is tons of offense with those metal bats and all.

None taken
I'm a relatively big sports fan in that I pay attention to alot of sports, but am only a rabid College Football fan.
I basically ignore most pro sports except for browsing the standings and following the playoffs.
I probably wouldn't follow Collegiate Baseball if Omaha did not have the College World Series. Before Nebraska became a powerhouse, I was always impressed by LSU, Miami, Florida State and Cal State Fullerton.

As for the offense, Nebraska scored 15 runs today against Nebraska-Kearney, but most of the time against ranked or Conference opponents they average about six runs a game.

I think the players would like to use wood, but it is too costly for a normal college to buy that many bats.

Nebraska won game 2 of the series 7-5 after trailing 4-0 after 5 innings. The Husker lost game one last night 6-2, so the comeback today was huge.

Huskerpunk:
Do you follow Arkansas Baseball at all since former Husker coach Dave Van Horn is the coach for the hogs now?

Nebraska won game three 6-0 today to win the series and take control of the Big 12. At 32-6, they look to be headed back to Omaha for another year.
