As I understand it: whoever

whoever is the subject, which means they are smelling and dealing.

whomever is the object, which means they are being smelt or dealt.

Correct. It would only be whomever if that person were being smelt.

If you were to learn to write in English, then you would not feel so aggrieved.

I just don't see the need to conduct a personal crusade against one person's bad grammar. I never really noticed Billzebub's critique of Charli until recently, and basically feel that sloppy grammar and spelling is fairly excusable on a message board.
Maybe I should take more time to edit my posts before hitting submit, but I think the content of the post is all that really applies.

I don't think it's a critique so much as a manifestation of Billz's animus toward Charli. Why the animus, though? I don't know.

As it is, if Billz were truly that concerned about proper grammar on this message-board, he would do more than single-out Charli.

It's not so much carelessness or sloppiness...not even the quick sustituition of "there/their/they're" "your/you're". The individual in question, moreso than anyone else here, seems incapable of constructing a proper sentence. This is then compounded by the most vulgar, base, profane, etc. responses/reactions. I'm not purposely singling out anyone, it just happens that there is generally one transgressor. I've called out Loogar on occasion, as well as others. When I come accross other egregious cases, I'll call them out as well.

No, no: Gramm-Tical. In an alternate 1996, Phil Gramm received the Republican nomination to the Presidency, and chose Method Man as his running-mate.

...and they ran on a platform of "Peace In Your Middle Crease."

This thread exposes the one fatal flaw with Schoolhouse Rock: failure to incorporate flatulence as an educational tool.
