Tickets on sale now. We are limiting the number of tickets sold, so if you're planning on coming, please get them early as this WILL sell out!

Here's the skinny:

10 BANDS in 2 DAYS. All your favorite SK bands over one two day concert!

DRINK CHEAP BEER. I'm gonna probably buy 3-4 kegs of beer and charge people just a couple bucks for all they can drink.

BE ON A LIVE RECORD. We're recording THE ENTIRE concert both nights. You'll be on a live Spade Kitty sampler, and one of the bands may end up doing an entire live album!

HANG OUT IN A COOL RECORDING STUDIO. Wall to Wall studios is a really excellent place where luminaries such as the Changes and the Strokes (when they are in town!) hang, and is one of the most comfortable studios to relax and just have a beer in.

This concert will also be the record release for the Three Fifths album!

SATURDAY 8pm-1am
Paper Airplane Pilots
Graham Cousens and the Hi-5
Three Fifths
Hop on Pop
Larry O Dean and the Injured Parties

SUNDAY 5pm-9pm
Green (may not be able to do it, but there's an alternate in place)
Loomis
Red Plastic Buddha
Pralines
The Get

2 day passes are JUST $15! If you want to come for just one day, it's $10 and I can mail you the ticket.

We're still technically not completely done with hammering stuff out, and I'm not sure I even have a total commitment on them playing the fest, but thanks! They are one of my favorite local bands from years ago and have many great albums!

I'm glad to be a part of this, but when I opened the thread, I thought we were going on one of the end of the month Critical Mass bike rides together, which are too fun. But then i thought about Larry O. Dean on a bike, and i couldn't picture it.

You should maybe name it something else, since those two words in that order is so associated with bike culture in chicago.

Who are the alternate band?

You should check out Miles Nielsen, he's great.

And I'm bummed that you missed my Effingways show, cause we're awesomely good.

Damn, well next time we may change the name, but the posters are already being printed.

Had no idea this was so associated with bike culture, obv.

"Critical Mass" is the name of a Post Office song. I wanted to name the festival after a song.

The alternate band is a guy named Robert McShane, pretty good up and coming singer/songwriter with a very pro band.

Dammit, I just got word today that they cannot do it after all. I will have a very good band in their stead, though. Details to come.

Dude, I meant to go see Epicycle last night at Abbey Pub for IPO.

I've been a fan for a while, but holy hot damn, you should get them to record, especially after the board recording I just heard.

Seriously.

Ellis Clarke and co. are some bad mofos. Geoff Benge is in that band too...

Damn.
Excellent guitar player.
And good guy.
It'd be fun to see him again.
Although Dave might disagree, Matt...
