Like this morning, I'm sitting in class writing things down using Russian characters, and I write "Loose Fur." It is only at this moment that I realize that this name is a play on Lucifer.

Or like the time when I realized that red wine was from red grapes and white wine from white ones. It's obvious, I know, but I had never really thought about it before, say, the age of 13.

I pronounced "paradigm" as "pair-ah-dij-em" until I met my wife.

Oh she laughed.

True.
With red wine they keep the skins on.
White has no skins.

Or something.
Right?

Mrs. Krabapel was also a character in the "Little Rascals".

I embarassingly learned what circumcision was in 9th grade during my Old Testament class. Mr. Riley wouldn't tell me what it meant and responded to my question with, "This isn't a sex education class, Tania". Confused, while others giggled in class, Monique Tuerlings tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I'll tell ya what it is during break". Needless to say, I was very embarassed later.

These are things I should really know by now, especially considering how much wine I've dranken in the last 4 months. It's scary how little I actually know.

I always thought Dead Can Dance was an Adjective Noun Noun construct--what kind of dance? A "dead can" dance.

I thought that the saying, "bleeding like a stuck pig" was actually "bleeding like a stuffed pig".

I thought my dad invented the term "knuckle sandwich".

Scientologists do not equal Christian Scientists.

actually, it was miss crabbtree

something that i've discovered in the past couple of years is that the older you get the longer it takes to recover from injuries -- maybe it's more denial than anything else...

I know there was something last week that I just suddenly noticed that I had never noticed before. It is killing me right now, since I can't remember it. It was something so obvious that I felt really idiotic for not realizing it beforehand.

When I was in high school, legions of girls wanted to give it up to me. I did't capitalize.

I don't think so... white wine in general comes from "white"...i.e. green grapes. Red grapes with the skins taken off produce "blush" wines, like rose or white zinfandel.
