I'm seeing them Saturday. When you all were going nuts over them I tried and didn't like what I heard, but I'm willing to give it another go. Thanks!

The local used CD emporium wouldn't take mine, so I gave it to the library.

They are pretty good live if you like sloppy nearing middle-aged guys that yell when they sing (seriously, they were good live, and I wasn't really sold on that record). I don't think I've picked up that album that everyone freaked over in about 3 years.

Thanks for the songs. I'm going for another round of Tapes N Tapes.

i was about on the same page.
if someone were really cool they would ysi "this boy is exhausted" which is probably my favorite song of theirs.
one of the best times in cmj/obner history that, when everybody and their mother would not stop talking about that album. I pre-ordered the handpressed or whatever version only to be thoroughly mehed.

I'd still love to see these guys live and hope they release something again soon.

It's a shame that these guys have become the object of derision for a lot of people around here when they truly were only pushed so hard because of how much a few of us liked them. The hype explosion a few years ago was a product of circumstance. Don't blame the band if you're one of those who tend to avoid bands that seem hype-driven.
