I should have known Barry Melrose picking the Stars to win the Cup during last week's NHL playoffs preview on ESPN was the certain kiss of death. Regardless, I still like that muhfuh. But Marty Turdco? TEDDIBLE!!!

No Jagr & Weekes will play for Lundqvist. Not sure if I agree with that, Lundqvist isn't the one who put the Devils on the PP 13 times.

The Flames might be in trouble too. The one glaring issue the Ducks had is McDonald, Lupul, Kunitz, Getzlaf, Beauchemin, Perry & Hedstrom are all in thier first NHL postseason. That's pretty much the bulk of the Ducks scoring depth. But last night those greenhorns combined for 2 goals & 2 assists. So the seal is broken & they know as good as Calgary's suffercating style is, they can beat it.

Nashville has to win game 3 or all we're gonna hear is how they can't win on the road.

I expect Dallas & Carolina to bounce back tonite. Not so sure about Philly though

One of the hardest hits I've seen, ever. Amazingly, Umberger says he'd like to play tonight, but with the Flyers record with their players and concussions, they may insist he sit this one out.

I'm looking for The Habs to put a stranglehold on their series tonight. Without Cole and and with Gerber looking so confused, I 'm changing my prediction to Montreal in 6.

Oh man, I couldn't believe that. He looked like he got hit by a truck! What cracked me up was the highlight reel announcers saying "it wasn't certain that he had a concussion or not" over the footage of officials helping this dazed animal get up and off the ice. And the look on his face made it clear that he shaved about 2 years off his long term memory. I've seen rodents with more cognition.

The Flyers are already down 2-0 in game two, while the Habs jumped out in front of Carolina. The Hurricanes might actually get swept instead.

In order for Anaheim to beat Calgary's "suffercating style" they'd have to play it first. I've seen very litle of it in the first two games, and it could be a short series if they don't manage to find that fire soon.

Please tell me the Flyers aren't down 5-0 after the first period. And I was actually pissed that the game wasn't being shown where I am.

Final score 8-2, JP and Pommy both with hat tricks. Philly seemed more interested in getting even with Soupy than in scoring any goals.

(But they did kill another nine power plays!)

YES!!!!! Habs win a huge one. Would have been a heartbreaker had they lost after taking that 3-0 lead.

God bless Newfoundland!

Is this post season rigged or is it just a bizarre coincidence that every series played last night is now 2-0 and every series being played tonight is tied 1-1?

At least Theodore was awesome a couple of years ago. Fucking Turdco has never done shit except pile up a bunch of hollow regular season stats. His playoff resume is pathetic.

When you're 0-2 with a 4.5 GAA at home against the 7 seed, you've got a major case of DAT SUCK!

Dave Tippet is worthless, too...especially without the pr0n stache. He should be fired.

The Ottawa/Tampa Bay game looks exactly like the Buffalo/Philadelphia game last night.

I wish. I'd welcome him back to LA as the head coach in a second. The Stars are guilty of being a good team in a bad division. Nobody but them played the whole season & it allowed them to take the last few weeks off & now they can't turn it back on. I wouldn't put it past Colorado to still blow this. They can score in bunches, but can give em up in buckets too. Dallas needs to reclaim even strength cuz right now Colorado is whopping ass 5on5. The Stars did a good job all year 5on5 but struggled vs teams who were also good 5on5 (2-6 vs LA).

I can't believe MTL won that game.

Why does Tampa's foghorn blow when the opposing team scores? I know hockey is still new to most in Fla, but haven't they figured out yet that you're only supposed to cheer when your team scores?

Just because the kings aren't in the playoffs..You don't gotta kick a brother when he's down..Why not show a highlight of all 8 goals while you're at it..

Don't you think Marc Crawford would look good behind L.A.'s bench? Whoever you get, I'm sure that Lombardi will make a good choice, he's a smart guy.

I'd love to get Radcliffe's opinion on the Crawford firing

I seem to be the only one on a board I'm on to be giving Crawford a shot at the Kings head job. (I have yet to see what the consensus is on LETSGOKINGS.com the real board for the Kings & the main media outlet Kings fans turn to since the media here is meehh)

But I'm not 100% he'd want it. He's still has a year left with the Canucks so he can stay on payroll by not finding a head job elsewhere. He might wait till '07 to jump back in. I'm just guessing here of course. Plus the Kings are the Canucks of the Pacific. Both teams had enough talent among it's 18 skaters to still be skating but some dissapointing big names & a lack of solid consistant goaltending cost them. (Which is funny b/c the LA Times lead hockey writer Helene Elliot wrote an article when Lombardi was hired painting now Ducks GM Brian Burke as this amazing GM who can do no wrong & Lombardi won't accomplish what he has in 1 season with the Ducks. Totally failing to mention the team Burke left behind is the LA Kings of the Northwest Div & the team Lombardi left behind is almost a lock to make the second round in large part due to the deals & picks made before Thornton who only has 1 assist in 3 games)

But Tippet's the dream. He's the guy Kings fans have been talking about ever since Dallas hired him away from us. Our special teams shined under him when he was in charge of them as an asst & this year we were in the bottom 3 or 4 of both PP & PK. I doubt Dallas dumps him though

'87 Playoffs. Hull was traded the following season I think for a package that included Gilmour
