Interesting...it's never ever rained in the history of Coachella. Notice how warm it will be. Right now, it's a 30% chance which doesn't mean a whole heckuva lot. Wednesday / Thursday should provide a more accurate reading.

The '04 Coachella was in May, and both days were in the 100's---nearly unbearable in the tent venues. It was so hot that the Amstel Light actually tasted pretty good.

I really wish I was going this year.

I'll be chillin', bout 15 degrees cooler than that...

Now, Daft Punk probably makes where you'll be about 6 degrees cooler than me by themselves, but I'm probably still not going to be there...

hey this is as good a time to ask as any other... girls, what do you wear to this gathering? I was thinking along the lines of shorts, tank top and flip flops, but I don't necessarily want to get my toes smashed with people dancing.

Puma, I'm one of those losers that flat-irons her hair, but I will also be bringing an elastic hair band to pull it up in a ponytail. ;)

Also, what are you wearing Friday to the Filter party?

Dana, that outfit sounds fine, however, I'd think twice about the flip flops. If you're like me, I like to have support on my feet and standing around all day will definitely get your feet tired.

As for the Filter party, I'm wearing jeans, camisole top and jacket.

haha i was pretty much clowning on myself because that IS how i dress... and i do flat-iron my hair too. and i have big sunglasses. ;)

depending on the "rain," i'm wearing a tank top, chucks and capris both days. dressing as light as possible, bringing a light jacket (probably a blazer or something) to keep warm at night. i don't like flip-flops in festivals.

as far as the filter party, not sure what i'm wearing yet... most likely how i normally dress when i go out to these type of events. i don't even know if i'm going to that party yet, my friends are driving me nuts about what time we're getting to the hotel. i MIGHT not get there until sat morning, but it depends on who i ride with.

Yeah, I have some slide-on sneaks I could wear... might work better all around.

Puma, let one of us know if you do decide to come in late on Saturday a.m., so we're not worrying about you!

Saturday morning?! WTF? Dri, you can roll with me if you'd like. I'm assuming the people you're bunking with will be there on Friday night.

i'll hopefully have it figured out by tomorrow... josh is being a pain in the ass right now so i don't know wtf his problem is. he's usually the one that heads out the earliest out of our crew so that's why we were supposed to carpool. everyone else is gonna lag and get there around midnight on fri and i really don't want to do that cuz i want to go to the filter party.

in any case, i'll keep you updated.

My sorta-cousin just e-mailed me saying she has free tickets and VIP passes for me if I want to go. And I'd only have to pay $35 for camping. But I doubt I'd be able to get off. Plus, I don't really have the $$$ to piss away on plane tickets. Damn. Wish this option was available last year.

oh for you coachella first-timers, prefix posted a pretty damn good "how to survive" coachella guide.

check it out here

also i got some info on a saturday afterparty that sony is doing but i'm waiting to hear what bands will playing there to see if it's worth it. urb usually does an afterparty at the venue but it's madness to get into.

timeslots will be posted tomorrow.

I've got a tip for you Coachella attendees...don't leave any valuables in plain view in the back seat of your car. Lock them in your trunk like any normal person would do.

I still can't believe I did that.....

now why would you do that in the first place? especially at a festival with that many attendees? :/

The items I brought were items I sorta needed on the trip (not necessarily at the festival itself) or brought for entertainment purposes. We were camping and I didn't want to leave certain things in the tent while we were gone. And I didn't want to carry them around with me at the festival. So, I figured the items in question would be safer in the car. But I had a brain fart the size of Asia and put them in a small bag in the back seat, rather than the trunk. Yea!
