Last night was the first time I watched this in it's entirety all season so I'm a novice but:

I thought McPhee did great. I couldn't understand why they bashed her. Great rack.

Whoever did "A Song for You", Elliot?, was GARBAGE IMO. Horrible song and completely underwhelming.

Pickler was horrible and will probably go after this.

Paula has completely gone off the reservation into Anna Nicole Smith territory. Seriously, WTF?

I don't think there's anything wrong with watching AI. It's actually quite amusing and good for a laugh or two. And then you have the occasional respectable performer like Elliott and Taylor.

I like it. Do I change my plans to run home and watch it, no, but if I'm home and have nothing to do, I'm watching it.

I've never watched it and never intend to, But if other people want to, s'alright. I'm not interested in reality shows or "find the star" stuff, but it's a laugh riot for some other people.

I'm sure there are tons of things in my life that are incredibly inane and would make tons of people here shake their heads...I'm just surprised that there are so many AI fans here. There's not necessarily anything wrong with watching it, I just feel like it would be an incredibly large waste of time.

But then again, I'm going to spend two hours of my night watching a soccer match.

I realize that no one here is YSIing live performances from American Idol. I realize that it's just stupid entertainment. I just tend to pick things like sports for my stupid entertainment. That's all.

How is it different from any of the other crap on television? A great majority of us watch the tube, but because it's about music we're supposed to fucking know better? Does this argument happen on boards that deal with outdoor activies or camping? "Dude, you watch Survivor?!! YOU SUCK!"
