You people are really letting me down. I know this isn't actually a music board but yikes.

Didn't know it was our job to be your kind of awesome.

Of course it's not, but American Idol? The only thing I find rewarding about it is that it just proves how ridiculous popular music is. Although at the same time I guess it is kind of nice for the people to democratically choose what shit they're going to have shoved down their ears for the next few months.

are you seriously that dumb?

some of us don't watch it for the music.

I realize that it's just stupid entertainment.

did you not see those BOOBS?

dem aint stupid.

I have clearly struck a chord here and will keep my pretentious ass out of American Idol threads in the future. Sorry for stamping on your fun. I will now go outside and take nutella crepes out of little French kids' hands and stomp on them as I watch them cry.

hey. I don't care if you are surprised by people watching it. Poke fun all you want. You have struck no chords with me, bub. :)

As for why. I think I like to put myself in the position of thinking that within 4 months my whole life could be completely turned around, possibly for the better. The people on the show, like Staind remake, Pickler, and Elliott all have really interesting stories of where they've come from. Not that there aren't a bunch of stories just like theirs but I have access to their life for a minute. I think that Elliott guy seems like a really cool/nice dude.

Plus, some of them, McPhee, Daughtry(despite the run of the mill rocker style), Elliott, and Paris, etc can actually sing really really well. I enjoy hearing a nice voice. It's easily accessible entertainment if you ask me.

that's another part of my problem as a human being. it's rare that a heartwarming story does something for me on an emotional level. we're talking like end of "life is beautiful" rare.

Elliott is my favorite, but he won't win...

And Kellie has GOT to go, but she won't either (too many stupid people voting)

Taylor was off last night. You can tell, he was preoccupied.

It helps to realize it's "heartwarming" which involves boobs.
