I probably am full of shit, but I try not to be. I like a lot of stuff that most would perceive as being awful and I'm fine with it. You people are all ghosts, right?

yeah i agree with the mayor. it's about the music and the love of music. i may be full of shit sometimes but at least i know what's what.

I like Green Day because I enjoy bouncy, catchy, pop punk music with a lil bit of sneer and snot, just as I like their former label-mates, the Queers and MTX.

I dislike the Strokes because the singer apes the original generation of underground/garage rock but ends up sounding like amplified cotton-mouth. The songs are a bit ordinary and in a genre that's all about riffs and hooks, they don't snag me often enough to warrant a thumbs up.

Anyway, that is what's what. And I may be full of shit.

HOWEVER!

Someone who likes Green Day because Billie Joe is cute, and someone who dislikes the Strokes because they are some rich kid's "let's play rock star" game, IS EVEN MORE FULL OF SHIT THAN ME.

I think that is key. I believe I'm allowed to be an indie snob because compared to most other non-obners my toilet isn't nearly as full or as stinky.
