Just curious: have you ever been approached by anyone who's relatively well known, like a producer or labelhead or something? Who wanted to produce/put out a record by your band?

And if you have, it's supposed to feel really weird, right? Yes?

heh. I know this is a bit of a weird odd-introduction (damn narrowband modems!!! X_X), but it happened to me recently....

One of my favorite producers just added me out of the blue and then 2 days later asked me if I wanted to make a record. So....yeah. Let's just say there was alot of shouting and running in circles involved.

The weirdest thing about it is that all I've posted are these crap bedroom demo things....the whole thing's was like some random sports coach going up to a mother to tell her, like, "I'll help put your infant child in the Olympics" or some crazy shit. It was just totally mind-blowing and nonsensical. I think. O_o

When I put on "I Am We Are," my shoegaze-loving roommate asked what I was listening to. So that's good.

EDIT: and I like it too.

I liked it as well, good luck with making that record. That would be awesome.

Maybe it doens't matter now that you have bigtime interest, but can I recommend reworking the order of your mp3s so that Last Glimpse Outside isn't first? It doesn't seem like a representative introduction and may make people think you just make short instrumental tracks. As you can see, people always listen to the first track first, and many fewer get to any of the others.

I'm sorry -- I genuinely did not mean to imply there's anything at all wrong with the track, or even that it would be an inappropriate opener on your release. It probably totally depends on the individual visitor, but to me, it just seems that with such a short track first, you might not give people who stop by the myspace page time to let what you're doing sink in before they have to click the next track. And people can not always be trusted to click stuff.

No, that's not it, I'm just kind of surprised I'm not getting "merked on" yet, that's all.

I need to go back to bed. And gouge my face with some more pizza.
Laters.
