So, how's Cake Shop as a venue/record store? I've never been, but I'm thinking about seeing A Hawk and a Hacksaw there, and maybe Experimental Dental School.

it's pretty tiny, which i like. the sound is better in the back near the bar. there isn't really a stage. the last time i was there, the performers were on the same level as the audience. if you like small places, you'll like it.

i've seen one show there and it was awesome. it is tiny, but i dug the vibe. at the same time, it was also open bar and les savy fav was playing a secret show, so maybe i'm predispositioned to like the place. i say give it a whirl.

The concert listing has changed from A Hawk and a Hacksaw to some other band with Hawk in its name. Screw you, Oh My Rockness!
