My bad...you clearly said the monday after getting back from la...and I focused on the monday. I need to learn to read. Although I don't feel too bad as you clearly glossed over oldbullee's excellent suggestion of opening a breakfast restaurant.

good question...chin up. You've got to much talent to worry about this gig that you were likely to leave behind in the next 6-9 months anyway.

It could always be worse.

Phil,
People are always afraid of those with more talent, especially other artists, look at it that way. Besides--betcha none of those dudes can smoke a bass and a crepe! Remember: the view never changes unless you're the lead dog. you'll be fine!

Seriously, if you opened up a restaurant anywhere near me I would single-handedly keep you in business

I didn't want to say anything, Phil, because you're awesome and your presence is the only thing that could make LS awesome, but Liquid Soul stopped being great in the 90's.

Screw them. Make your own band and whup the shit out of them. Do it. Become the next Rachael Yamagata. Remember Bumpus? Exactly.

this is kind of what i was thinking. i'd like to know what you played on the album so i could actually find some reason to listen to it. it's just the kind of music that i would never put on otherwise. maybe at a family barbecue, but yikes.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy the disc either, I went through that phase for about a year overlapping senior year of h.s. and freshman year of college, and then i realized how unmusical it was.

I don't want to be victor wooten (as amazing a player and as nice a person as he is), I'd rather be me. Or Paul McCartney. Or Jon Brion.

So did any of you check out that YSI?

No we don't, but I don't mean like a hand held pie, or a little pie... I mean a full on chicken pot pie, where a slice of it needs to be on a plate, and if you don't have a fork, you're fucked.

I'll post a pic when we make it next time.

Hey, anything that looks even a little like rejection sucks, but I'm with, like, everyone, in thinking you're going to move onto something better. Hopefully something better that comes through baltimore :)
