I do not envy you ayah. The most major one I received was a couple years ago. I never had one as bas as that and I thought there was something seriously wrong with me. It was at 11pm when I was in CA and I called my dad to see what he said. I woke the poor man up at 2am because I had a migraine. It felt like my brain was going to crack my skull when I bent down to pick something up.

Then I had to sit in a room (because I was still on shift) with all the lights off and the door barely open.

Then the nausea. Then the toilet bowl.

The only cure is about 10 hours of sleep without waking up.[/quote]

i had one last almost 3 days. i had to get a shot of imitrex (sp?). sleep really helps and i've never thrown up but then i haven't thrown up since 1973. schanpps and tequila sunrise binge.

Mine have never lasted more than 1 day thankfully. I have felt the remnants of them the day after, like my neck was kind of sore and just felt off, you know? But man, I have never had to get a shot either. Yours must be really bad. I cannot even imagine. I think that mine are stress related so I don't think I will have them last too long because I am too lazy to get stressed out that often. :)

Modern people are so crap I'm ashamed to a member of the same species. It's got to the stage people are on anti-anxiety medication incase they leave their cell phone at home. What a bunch of pussies.

I don't take anything ever and only go to the doctors/A&E ward when I've been knocked unconscious by brut physical force.

No meds. Ran out of aspirin a few months ago, haven't bought any more yet. Have had a bottle of vitamins for 2 years, usually forget to take them for a month or so at a time.

birth control here. i'm not crazy about putting the chemicals into my body, but i'd rather chemicals than baby at this point.

my mom's currently going through menopause without any drugs. she's pretty hardcore. i guess she takes tylenol pm occasionally, but nothing for the hot flashes or craziness that menopause brings.

A good way not have babies is to not have sex, over and over again.

But, for those people that complain about their headaches that don't get or never have gotten a migraine I have very little sympathy for. :)

I hear you. I get migraines and I've had quite a few more migraines than usual recently, one of which was absolutely crushingly bad a couple weeks ago, that I'm seeing a neurologist in a few weeks. Getting visual migraines while driving = not a good thing.

I'm not big on health fearmongering, but you really shouldn't take Ibuprofen for hangovers.

I don't even take Claritin anymore. I hate drugs that come in packages.

Why? I was told it's good for cramps but I also take it for headaches now and then.

Cool, we can have a little Obner migraine-clan now that there's three of us.

I'm sure that stress and too little sleep are factors in my drastic increase (from one or two every few months to one or two every few weeks) so I'm trying to take it easy as much as I can. The night I got my brain-killer I had followed a day where I was stressing out trying to get a bunch of stuff done, had been out in intense sunlight for too long, and ate a bunch of process crappy food. All things that can set migraines off, all in one day. Woke up at 2am or so feeling worse than I've ever felt before, then couldn't sleep at all and had nothing to take to combat the migraine. Spent the rest of the day curled up in bed or taking showers (try it - the hot water of the shower on your head really helps, for a while.) Horrible, awful day. I talked to my doctor the following Monday and got a recommendation for a neurologist - just to make sure, you never know when you're dealing with the brain. Probably migraines, of course, but . . .

I'll put the call in to her. Hot flashes will be on the next plane out of Chicago.

By the way, the Patty discs went in today's mail.
