it fucking better. It's like half the movie.

characters barely have a chnce to appear onscreen before they get mangled or dismemberd. or set on fire. goddamn i love that movie.

Seconded.

I also seem to recall Ronin having a decent chase.

both Bourne movies have some pretty sick car chases.

and that Bond movie about Russia. oh wait they're all about Russia. The ont that had Famke Janssen before she was super hot. you know, he ends up driving around in a tank.

Those Transporter movies have some good ones. In LA though, you just turn on the tv and what for some live coverage of one to interrupt the regularly scheduled programming. There was one live on tv yesterday with the cops ramming a suspect in a murder case and then opening fire on the guy killing the dude live on tv.

I wonder if TV in Darfur is like this.

The opening chase in Mad Max is phenomenal--when Big Bopper's Pursuit Car blasts through the trailer, it's a wonder to behold.

Second place goes to the Mustang/Charger chase from Bullitt.

Yeah I would've said Mad Max, Bullitt and Ronin. Great Escape has of course is another with the famous motorcycle jump, which is awe-inspiring. The original Gone In 60 Seconds has some good scenes as well.

Totally. What's so great about "Gone" is that it was all real--Halicki and his friends basically went out on weekends and filmed themselves wrecking their cars.

Bullitt gets dinged because of the soundtrack they dubbed over the chase scene. There is no way on earth the Mustang shifted like that. The visuals are still balls-on though.

That's a good one, as is the already mentioned Ronin. Bullitt is a classic. The French Connection has a very good chase scene too.

All the Bond flicks kind of blend into one another but I remember a scene with a Lotus Esprit that turns uinto a sub, that was pretty cool; The Spy Who Loved Me", maybe.

Props to the slow-motion chase scene from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
