AJ Hawk over Leinart, which is a good thing. The Pack shouldn't waste high picks on QB's until after they loose Favre.

Leinart reminds me of Randy Moss a few years back, where he was projected high and kept falling, except for the fact that Leinart has no real personal issues.

he'll either go to Oakland or Arizona. I'm guessing Oakland can't pass him up.

You Maryland fans should be happy, but feel ashamed for having Vernon Davis sobbing like a baby for being the 6th pick.

Man, I completely forgot this was on today, I'm glad I logged into Obner as soon as I got home from work. I came in on pick #8.

The Bills are pathetic, who the fuck is Donte Whitner. He wasn't even in the top ten.

Wait a minute, Ernie Sims isn't a WR.

Yeah, I don't know what to say of the Detroit pick. I was going to let it pass, but then the more I think of it, I like the fact they were smart enough to go Defense. I'm not sold on Sims, but it isn't as much as a shock as Whitner.

Leinart to the Cards, I think he is actually a lucky man. They have some talent and are one of the most hyped teams for next season.

Yeah, it should be a good situation for him. Boldin and Fitzgerald are pretty damn good, and they have James at RB along with Warner to bring him along. I couldn't imagine a better situation.

The Broncos traded for the Rams Pick, to take Jay Cutler.
I don't think it was worth losing picks or players for the Vandy QB.

I'm finally drinking beer today after loading up on coffee early. I'm trying Hidden River Pale Ale. It was dirt cheap at Osco, but I think I paid about two dollars too much for it.
It doesn't taste like a true Pale Ale and is brewed by Glueck/Cold Springs Brewery in Minnesota, who are known for Northern and Glueck beers. A pair of classic lowbow beers from the Land of the Lakes

oops double post

Haloti Ngata was originally a Husker recruit, then he switched to BYU and then Oregon.
He's awesome, but I still hate him for betraying Nebraska after initially following Dominic Raiola and Toniu Fonoti to the Huskers.

Kamerion Wimbley?
I'm sure he is good, it is just that FSU hasn't been a NC contender for a few years like Nebraska.

ESPN just showed the Browns first round picks since they came back into existence, they have been just as awful as the Lions recently.

FSU gets much better talent than Nebraska. Dont kid yourself.

The Denver trade-pick of Cutler makes sense because they have a ton of extra picks.

Vince Young looks like a young Shaq on the cover of SI this week.

The Falcs dont pick for hours. Im going to cut the grass

Nebraska had arguably the best class of 2005, after the 5-6 season. They aren't a perennial top five class due to not being in Florida, Texas or California, but with the exception of the late Solich years, they are always comparable to FSU and tend to have just as many players drafted.
Up until the last two years, they had the most players in the NFL for any Big 12 school.

When in doubt, take a big ass D-Lineman from FSU.

Also, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THE NFL THIS YEAR?

6 DBs in the first 18 picks?

SF takes a TIGHT END at number 6?

Cutler screams Tim Rattay to me -- He got picked that high cos he's fairly good from a perrenially sorry school, and he's white.

I double checked myself, and Nebraska still leads the Big 12 with 34 former players in the NFL
FSU has 43.

According to Rivals in 2005, Nebraska was third behind OU and Tennessee FSU was fifth.
FSU was 3rd this year, Nebraska was 20th with fewer schollies to give away.

I am just not wowed by these guys this year. I either didn't watch enough football this year or no longer am in awe of the first round draft talent level. I think this is all a result of parity in college football. You get better games and more even competition, but no one really seems to stand out this year.
I'm also not a major NFL fan, so I don't really care who drafts who this year.

When and where is Max Jean-Giles going to go. He is the Dawgs best hope for a first rounder right?

I'll be more excited tomorrow, when the people I mentioned at the start of this thread have a better chance of being picked.

BTW, for the politicos like Loogs, former Husker Coach Tom Osborne is now tied in the polls with current Governor Dave Heinemann, Osborne had a huge lead when he announced he was running for Governor.
