I sort of forgot how awesome the FSU defense was in the game against Miami and even against Penn State in the Orange Bowl.
They are still ripping the Cromartie pick, which made it four FSU defenders drafted so far.

When and where is Max Jean-Giles going to go. He is the Dawgs best hope for a first rounder right?

I'll be more excited tomorrow, when the people I mentioned at the start of this thread have a better chance of being picked.

BTW, for the politicos like Loogs, former Husker Coach Tom Osborne is now tied in the polls with current Governor Dave Heinemann, Osborne had a huge lead when he announced he was running for Governor.

and Heineman was a classmates of my pop's at West Point.

I am surprised Jean-Gilles hasn't gone yet. I would put Leonard Pope against dude from Maryland as far as TEs go....

I was just saying the same thing as you Promethium: Either I watch too much SEC (and only SEC) ball, or the talent level of the first round fails to impress me much anymore.

Also, wanna get picked in the NFL? Be w linebacker who's white.

I didn't watch Georgia alot, but the TE from Maryland is a freak of nature. I never heard alot about Pope, especially after Shockley got hurt.

I'm hoping Heinemann beats Osborne, the former coach is a little too puritanical for my taste.
I'm really happy that Ben Nelson is leading former Ameritrade executive Pete Ricketts by double digit points right now. Ricketts is an uber-right wing GOP candidate whose commercials look like they were written by Hannity.

Pope is 6'7" 260..I think the knock on him is blocking ability or lack-thereof...WHERE THE FUCK IS BLOOR WHEN I NEED HIM?!

I like Nelson A LOT.

Leonard Pope is considered the fourth best TE pick behind Davis, Lewis of UCLA and Klopfenstein of Colorado.

The Bengals are on the clock after the Bucs shock everyone by picking Davin Joseph from the Sooners.

The Steelers trade up to get Santonio Holmes, this is a huge trade.

With Manny Lawson going to SF at the 22nd pick and John McCargo (DT) being a possible early second round pick in addition to Super Mario, its depressing to imagine how bad we were last year with the talent we had on defense. Man, our offense was so inept.

What is the deal with mediocre ACC teams with relatively decent defenses having awesome drafts.

I don't blame the Bears, they stole a pick or two for players that have been surprise reach picks.

I think they traded #26 for 42 and 72. It sucks that I've been waiting all day to see their pick, but Angelo is a mastermind of finding good late round players. Briggs, Vasher, Alex Brown, Ian Scott. Let's see what he does with it.

I was really hoping for a receiving threat at TE in the draft.

Yeah, I thought M Lewis was going to the Bears.

Chris Berman is really annoying---acting like he's predicting the picks just before Tagliabue announces it. The producers are giving him the damn picks.

Oldbullee should be happy with Joseph Addai.

And I'm sill not quite done though I'm popping in every now and again for updates.

Jesus, Tampa shit the bed, right?

As far as highly drafted Dawgs, I've also heard that DT/NT Gerald Anderson is moving up pretty quick. This will be our weakest pro crop in several years though and we may not get anybody drafted in the 1st round. Shit, I cant remember off hand when that happened last.

I thought that The Bears would've chosen a promising CB or TE rather than trading down for more later round picks.

A good WR, even.

Goodcall, Marco, you've got freaking ESP compared to the Draft analyst.

I can't believe Maryland has a 2nd player picked, the same number as the USC Trojans and Texas Longhorns. I know it is still not as bad as the 6-5 Wolfpack having three and 8-5 FSU having four on one side of the ball.

LenDale gettin jobbed. I like his response about injuries: "I don't miss football games." I would LOVE to see him drop to Dallas, but don't see how that's possible.

Biggest abberance in draft history: More Wolfpack picked than Trojans in first round?

I don't think White is getting screwed that much, he kind of reminds me of Sapp? from LSU a few years ago and Bam Morris. They were both huge RB with personal issues that turned out to be huge busts.

The Eagles take Winston Justice with the 39th pick.
I'm getting bored of hearing them discuss Vince Young's throwing mechanics.
Daniel Bullocks of Nebraska went #40!!!!
A Husker was drafted before a Dawg!!!!!

I need another beer.
