Apparently this was more serious than originally thought. He had internally bleeding and requires surgery to drain blood around his brain. A full recovery is expected but possible long term post-operative side effects include blathering on about shrimpboat and purposefully trying to antagonize his mates ;)

Let's hope the surgery goes well.
