Ray Davies - Other People's Lives

I suppose there is no way this could have ever lived up to expectations. But that said, this is a disappointly pedestrian offering from one of my favorite songwriters of all-time.

It's competent, to be sure. Doesn't suck. But it is sadly uninspired and uninspiring.
Just really bummed about this one.

I've never heard it but if you like his dreck like "Come Dancing" but don't like this than I should probably skip it.

My nomination would be Mark Lanegan & Isobel Campbell. It was my most anticipated 2006 release and I think it mostly stinks.

So far for me it's the new Flaming Lips. It's not bad but I'm having a hard time getting into it.

Yeah, I don't think much of it either. I really thought the Thanksgiving Day EP was very good too, so Other People's Lives was/is especially disappointing.

Me too. That's another album that hasn't left the stereo in awhile.

Neko Case.

There's a couple good songs and I dont hate it by any means, but it needs some oomph...

I was initially disappointed in this, but I've been spinnin it a lot and have really come to like it. It'll never be on par with Blacklisted for me, though.

snow patrol. i really like all of their previous work, but i think they're going the route of liz phair and better than ezra. it's a little too adult contemporary for me.

My major disappointment is sort of en masse at the entire musical community because I've not heard a genuinely great album this year so far.

I'm hoping 'Rather Ripped' by Sonic Youth comes to the rescue.

I third this nomination. It had one or two decent songs on it, but the rest of this put me to sleep.
