Hey

Thinking of starting to switch over to the world of Gmail.

how do i join up? do i need an invite? i seem to recall, invites being used and stuff.

anyone care to share one? When i have one, can i start as many accounts as I want too?

think maybe it limits other types of spam out there - to some degree

gmail probably has the best interface and most features of any web-based e-mail service. i haven't bothered to switch because yahoo suits my needs and has all of my emails.

Instead of your mailbox containing individual messages, responses are threaded like a bulletin board. So if you send an email to frosted and haq, and both respond, they all appear within the same thread.

interface = how you interact with your mailbox. all of the design decisions and features that make the experience better and more useful. you need an invitation so that millions of spambots can't sign up for gmail accounts and get to spammin' as easily.

it's not necessarily prettier, just has more features.

somehow tom-thomas-tim-timis go figure. some people that i meet for the first time actually think my real name is timis (mainly b/c that what everyone calls me - nickname)
