the fact that what's about to happen is indeed about to happen pretty much makes we want to vomit for the rest of the day. how could he?
and to read his quote from the AP today: "I expect them to boo the fact that I'm here. That I went over and that I'm playing with a team that truly needed me, truly wanted me."

He's certainly continuing to hit, that's for sure.

It's funny to think he might become a clean-cut superstar after several years of being Wild Man, simply because he looks so different shaved and shorn.

He only had the beard for like 2 seasons, maybe 3. He made his named clean-shaven with the Royals.

He was well-known with KC, but he certainly wasn't a superstar until 2004.

Where is that spoof sports story about him getting it on with 30 nurses while his wife was delivering their baby?

LOL Gammons was talking yesterday about a bet that he had with Mirabelli where Doug said he would be back with the Sox before th 15th, only because noone else can catch Wakefield. Gammons was laughing last night saying he thinks hes gonna have to pay up (right after he showed everyone of Bards passed balls...humorous).

The Red Sox are the ones that deserve the boos the way they've played lately.

its fairly amusing that the yankees realizing this tried to get involved in the trade negotiations to see if they could get mirabelli just to keep him away from boston :wavefinger:

I think I like this trade. I think we should have gotten more for Mark Loretta than Doug Mirabelli. Loretta has kinda sucked so far, but so has Mirabelli.

I heard they're selling t-shirts in Boston that read "looks like Jesus, throws like Mary, acts like Judas" or something. Gotta love baseball!

A private jet and police escort for a backup catcher.

Baseball is fun.

Wakefield/Mirabelli would make a good screenplay story.

"Their love was all about baseball...no seriously it was, Wake don't go that way, but shit Dougie, I need ya man..."

In interviews Wake always reminds me of Dobby from Harry Potter.

Nic Cage should play him and Clooney could be Mirabelli.
