 *shudders*

That show used to make me cry as a child.

As. A Child.

Jeezubs. It debuted in like '99.

Yeah. I was 13 then. So a pre-pubescent child; it still counts.

I see how that works mathematically, but conceptually it's a bit much for my nearly-40 brain to suss. I was halfway past 33 and moving to 34 at the turn of the millenium.

My oldest brother is almost 55 and says the goddamn aliens must've kept him under for a couple decades after that last abduction probe. Swears he was just 26 day before yesterday.

Gays and lesbians all follow a strict code of conduct. It's quite amazing. They all act and think exactly alike. They never stray from the pre-set script. And, just like us heteros, they all know each other from coast to coast.

If I knew more than self loathing gays here in Lincoln, I would ask them about the "ghey" code and if they know everyone cost to cost. There was a time when this place had a higher per capita gay population than San Francisco.

An ex and I were driving down the highway in southwest Virginia, some 300 (?) miles away from home. He looks over at the car paralleling us in the next lane...and waves. Knew the guy.

But I've had that happen with straight friends, too. And that sort of thing never happens to me 'cause I don't know nobody and don't go nowhere.

Are there a different set of rules that govern separations for gay couples? Specifically, two guys just bought two of the remaining condos next to us, and they're a recently separated couple. They had a place together, they split up, and decided to buy condos right next to each other. They both have had new boyfriends over in the week they've lived there. They're out there splitting up boxes of stuff every day still.

Is there some wierd set of Bi-Laws (pun intended) that says this just somehow works? Cuz if they were a straight couple, there's no way in hell...

UPDATE: So the guy who got dumped, and who still moved into the front condo next to us, living right in front of the dump-er, tried unsuccessfully to commit suicide about 2 weeks ago. He's been extremely depressed living next to his ex, (who brings home guys a lot), his basement bedroom flooded one night during the summer, and then one evening 2 weeks ago the hose came off the back of his washing machine, flooding his carpet again.

Apparently, that was the last straw. He took a huge handfull of pills, started his car with the door down, and got groggy. But then the pills took over, and he forgot why he was putting up with the smell of exhaust, so he tried to get up and go inside. But he was too dizzy to walk, and he fell on his face, smashing his nose and getting blood all over.

Finally the ex came looking for him (he missed a dinner date, people started calling around), found him, and got him to the hospital. He took 3 or 4 days to recover, and then sold the house back to the builder in exchange for a new one further away. I only know the details because I was drafted to help dry out the carpet and collect mail (gladly).

...Ghey or straight, don't move into a place next to your ex.
