Actually, I was quite relieved that I couldn't really grasp the details. All these years of being alive, and I guess fag hag's part of a language I never learned. I always figgered it for just another derogatory label for people of the alternate lifestyle persuasion.

fag hag = woman who spends most of her time hanging out with gay boys.

Some would add other more negative attributes such as:
- she's straight but doesn't date guys out of fear or whatever and prefers the company of gay boys
- she has many many cats
- loves musicals
- she might be "unattractive"
- at the extreme: she is in love with a gay boy and hopes to "turn him straight", etc. etc....

But this last list of things is kind of bullshit. I jokingly call myself a fag hag because many of my close friends are gay boys and I used to spend more of my time hanging out with my friend Gordon than with my bf at the time. I also know a lot of bi/lesbian girls who called themselves "fag hags" too as more of a way of saying you are an appreciator of gay boys.

Oh... perfect example: Grace and whats-her-name on Will & Grace.
