if i get off my lazy kick....i will rip it from my disc and post it...but the perfect song to listen to in your car with the windows down is this:

The Gandharvas - First Day of Spring

anyone heard this tune before? actually the cd is pretty good - soap bubble and inertia

timis, while browsing your information in order to plan my revenge (and oh yes, its coming), i noticed you live in k-zoo. i'll be living in lansing again this summer and my buddy's band plays a lot of shows at kraftbrau. we should drink some extremely dark beer one of these times.

Yeah, definitely not into this but I can see it being a laid-back-windows-down type song. Now back to Twilight Sings thanks to Timis.

i wouldn't mind listening to this every now and then with my car windows down. on a cloudy day. i prefer cloudy days.
i made a really fun mix to drive to. it has sebadoh, house of freaks, primal scream, the nerves, the replacements, stiv bators, mission of burma, the rezillos, etc on it.
it's fun. oh yeah, and randomly otis redding on it. but that song makes me the happiest. "there goes my baby"

Wow, I'd love to hear this again. The band is from London ON (my last residence) and used to get played all the time. It's been forever since I've heard that album.

Timis and DumpJack are my brothers.

I read that and immediately thought, "no way. Nobody is going to know the Ghandharvas on here." but sure enough...

My favorite song by them is "Downtime" but First Day Of Spring, Watching The Girl... all gold.

They've always reminded me of By Divine Right but I don't think there's an actual connection there.

ok...first off - i dont care if people pan me for these tunes.....i dig them and thats all that matters. one more thing - i am partial to the '94 version. they redid it once they signed to a major label - the newer version isnt bad at all....in fact most people might even like the newer version better.

i think these are great spring time tunes - happy go lucky tunes - haha

ENJOY

Many thanks for these, man. And alongwaltz, 'Downtime' was another song I had forgotten about. It makes me want to go dig out some old Rusty tunes, like Misogyny or Wake Me.

What's the line in Office Space from Samir when he responds to Bob's Jump to Conclusions board?

Something like,

Yes, that's a terrible idea.

That was what came into my head after popping this song in Winamp.

"Oh My" by Mellowdrone is a great windows down song. It came on today and the lyrics are about a wonderful day. Simple enough.

damn, you're lucky, being right by there and the bells brewery. thats a cool part of town. my friend's band is called all minds related. their influences include tool. and a perfect circle.

it's a good excuse to get out there anyway, i'll let you know the next time i'll be in town.

Sorry. I didn't even scroll thru the thread. The original song made me think of Samir and not one of yours if you posted some.

I made a summer mix. It had lots of Borbetomagus, Whitehouse, and Merzbow on it.
