WOW. Dov, you're in for a treat when you go to see them when you're in town.
So, I've seen their tribute album to
OK Computer around, but never bothered to pick it up- nor did I realize they were local... until I heard about their show last night, playing OKC in its entirety on a 4-piece string ensemble- 2 violins, 1 cello, and 1 viola. Sounded interesting, so I went to go check it out.
It was absolutely amazing. It made me look at OKC in a whole different light ... and it was an interesting take on seeing/hearing a string ensemble playing OKC. The album was played in chronological order, but seriously- they blew my mind away... for Fitter Happier, they even had some dude come out to speak while the violins were playing the background. After that, they also played Just & My Iron Lung for their encore and some Tool song- but I left after they were done w/Radiohead.
