Renee Russo goes in the Sarandon pile. She did not pull off "sultry cop" in that stupid Pierce Brosnan shlocky cat burglar movie.

I'm understandably more sensitive to these aging threads than your garden-variety Obnerer, but some of you act like aging is a disease that you're personally immune to. And I gotta say, if anyone here thinks they're gonna age as well as Brigitte Bardot they're gonna be sorely disappointed long before they start knockin' on 70. Or 40, for that matter.

The main impetus for me starting this thread is just that Rosanna Arquette is WAYYYYYYYYY hotter now than she was when she was younger. Same goes for Andie MacDowell, who I actually used to think was outright unattractive back in her younger days.

Anyway, I hope you and Rads realize that as one of the elder Obnish myself, I do not have an age bias. My irrational fear of turning 40 later this year has to do with waning confidence in my own mortality, and not any sort of repulsion at joining those older than me. People in their 40s are cool; I'm just worried that I won't see 50.

I agree with you FT in that Rosanna does look better now than she did back then. That's why I also think Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange look better now than they did when they were younger. I'm a "seasoned thirtysomething" too, and I even think I look better than I did as a teenager or twentysomething. It has to do with feeling comfortable with yourself and developing your own style, methinks.

As for your impending death at 50, what are ya doing about it?

btw, just to lighten up a bit... my friends and I were discussing the worst songs ever, and my husband suggested "Send in the Clowns." I told him, just for kicks, I might play it at his funeral, to see if he would re-animate from the ashes and become the world's most nefarious super-villain, traveling from venue to venue to kill off bands that had been a personal affront to him during his lifetime. He actually thought it was funny, but that I really shouldn't do that, as he would haunt me from the grave.

Oh, it's just this morbid fixation I have, not any sort of looming health concerns. My dad died (relatively) young (at 59), his dad died when my dad was 10, etc. Just one of those stupid "feelings" I have that I'm doomed to die young.

np: Santana - "Samba Pa Ti"

ft, rosanna arquette is unbelievably hot and was completely worth the cost of showtime watching her make out with "shane" on the L word last season.
