It got a good review on P'Fork, and I really like Spencer Krug's Wolf Parade songs. Has anyone heard the new one? Pumachik?

I've heard a couple tracks posted on blogs I frequent. From what I've gathered, it follows a formula slightly removed from Frog Eyes sound, but it's still a disjointed, spastic kind of music - this time with jangly guitars and Krug's (?) indicipherable lyrics overlapping the chaos. Their sound hasn't exactly reeled me in, but I'm still intrigued enough to want to hear more. That Wolf Parade nonsense does nothing for me, however. I'm more of a Cary Mercer fan, thanks.

I read the review today as well and was intrigued. I really enjoy that Wolf Parade album and Krug's songs, in particular, so I would really like to hear this.

I've had the record for a while, and i'm currently giving it another spin: my current conclusion, yes, it's good, and yes, it's not wolf-parade light or anything like that.

of course, i'm biased... yes i like the record. but in reference to how it sounds, what katie said. it's spencer krug's side project, so if you dig his vocals on wolf parade, then you'll like this.

they played the echo on monday night... i'm SO bent i didn't make it to the show - i was dead tired from the weekend and couldn't move around whatsoever. :/

Damn. Too bad I missed this. Although, last time I went to one of these to see Serena Maneesh, it didn't end until 1:45 and I got 3 hours of sleep, so maybe it's for the better.

usually shows at the echo run late and even though i had the day off on tuesday... seriously no energy to deal with another show. i'm sure they'll be back. i hope.
