Yeah, your body goes through that cycle for a reason. I don't want to mess with it. Besides, it's good for both partners to be aware of the "cycle"---i.e. when it's more "safe", etc...

A male friend of mine & his gf got pregnant even though she had been on the pill since she was a pre-teen (ick). He's pretty catholic so it was pretty weird/intense for him. It's better to know what's what, IMO.

The shot isn't an option for me. My hormones are messed up as it is (I've just been diagnosed with PMDD which literally drives you crazy for a few days every month) and I need to know that if whatever I'm taking is making me crazy, I can take it out, discontinue taking it, or whatever. I don't think a shot can be taken back.

I'm so jealous of those who don't have issues with birth control options. Puberty should start at 30, not 12.

If you are prone to migraines, the pill is particularly dangerous.

As for menstruation, I think that I would be willing to try it if I knew that, on average, I would get to live 7 years longer than dudes. On the other hand, I have no idea what cramps are like, so . . . right.

I always get pulled in by these biology-related threads, even though I am trying my best to work right now!
