Libby being alive would explain why Michael is locked up in the next episode. She's at least alive enough to tell the authority figures what went down.

Or maybe he's not locked up and the preview was just misleading.

Really? He deliberately shot himself in the arm. Unless Gale was supposed to have killed him, I don't know why you'd think he was dead.

That wasn't all that clear. It looked like he was pointing the gun near his chest. He fired, and that was the end, right? I thought it happened fast enough as to not be obvious.

naw, arm. why would he kill himself aside from being crazy

Right because there's no way Michael's crazy.

Yes, people, in retrospect it makes sense, but YOU'VE ALL SEEN THE PREVIEW.

Anyway, Michael's alive. You hear someone say "She's dead", not "They're dead" leaving the possibility that only Ana or Libby was killed and not both.

My guess on this is that Libby is unconscious and barely clinging to life, then dies, and that's when Kate says "She's dead," as in "she's dead now, and AL is already dead." I don't see how it's possible that Michael "holds all the power," as the preview says, if he's locked up because he killed Libby. No, I think Michael shot himself in the arm, then told Gale to scram and Michael will enheroate himself by saying that Gale attacked AL, got her gun, killed her, then killed Libby when she wandered in, and wounded Michael in a fight for the gun. Libby clings to life and that's why we don't see Hurley very upset - yet. And then she'll die taking with her the knowledge of what really happened. Michael will be a hero and no one will doubt him, giving him the power he needs in order to lead the whole bunch right into the Others' trap, and get his son back in exchange for them. And that'll be the end of the season.

No way is Eko being killed off. That's just creative editing.

Bingo. Mark my words -- Libby's out for the next 2 episodes.

I'm so sure, I said "mark my words."

Like I said, I didn't see the preview and I still didn't think for a minute that Michael was dead. It looked like he shot himself in the shoulder.

So Ana L died, Libby's unconscious from the pain, Henry's gone, and Michael's injured. Enough evidence to persuade them to go kick some Other ass.

Two pages of discussion of the 5/3 episode and nobody's mentioned the commercial for the Hanso Foundation?

Or did you all miss it?

Ana is definitely dead. She was on Good Morning America this morning talking about her demise according to Lost fan sites. She only signed on for one season from the beginning according to TV Guide.

As for Libby, I don't know if she's dead or alive, but she will get major screen time to end the season. It's well known that she's not making it to season 3 because she's going to be a primary actor on an upcoming sitcom for another network. The spoilers I've seen says the Libby storyline is absolutely not completed and she plays a big part on the Desmond season finale. The question is if it's real time or flashback? And I agree that Hurley has to nurse her a bit then realize how he knows her...
My bet that with the gut wound, she survives... maybe finds clarity and shares her secrets... or not. But I do know her character appears again before the season is out.

Does it reset the American Idol clock to 00:01?

1-877-HANSORG

press 1 for "general info" -- is in a foreign language for a while (no clue what language) then says the address of the organization (in copenhagen denmark) and points you to the web address.

The Hanso Foundation "commercial" that aired during one of the breaks is part of the new "Lost Experience" interactive game. Interestingly, if you call the number listed in the ad (1-877-HANSORG) you'll log a vote for "American Idol" contestant Taylor Hicks. Go Taylor!

Didn't miss it, but almost did as I was skipping past commercials on our DVR. Very clever way for ABC to trick people into watching commercials now.

If you missed it, it can be viewed at the weird new Hanso site: http://thehansofoundation.org/

I agree, at first I thought arm but possibly chest, saw the preview with his arm in a sling and said, "definitely arm." I hate when they give stuff like that away in the previews too.

Oh, and Hurley says to Michael in the preview (at least I think it's Michael), "I'm glad you're ok."

Are you sure? I thought he said "I thought you were OK." And that it wasn't clear who he says it to. I think it's probably Libby.

That's what I heard but could be wrong. Maybe you're right and it was right after they have sex. She says, "you were great, Hurley" and he responds with, "I thought you were ok..."
