What are the best albums/bands you have discovered thanks to this wonderful group of people here?

When I think of primo CMJ/Obner discoveries I think of:
Chamber Strings - A Month Of Sundays
Self - Gizmodgery
Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I
The Wrens - The Meadowlands
Joe Pisapia - Daydreams

and probably a few others that i'll remember in an hour os so...

What be yours?

And bring on the Shrimp Boat jokes... I'm ready for them.

You and Radcliffe should go fuck each other...really. You two are closet cases if I ever saw any.

I'm pretty sure I'll stay straight for the forseeable future - but I guess if I was a fat obnoxious drama queen who pisses in taxi cabs and couldn't get a female hooker to touch my dick even when it's gift-wrapped in hundreds, well, then I might all of a sudden become gay too.

I think Meadowlands by The Wrens is the only one I purchased after reading the discussion and checking them out. Other than that I tend to checkout stuff on my own before reading it here.

Those plus Nick Lowe, XTC, Radio Dept, Slobberbone, Mccluskey, Marah, there are so many more I'm forgetting. Those are just the one's that immediately come to mind and happen to be on my ipod. Oh and I had never seen The Last Waltz until I got berated here for never seeing it.

Gary Numan's first 3 albums, thanks primarily to Billz.

I'm sure there are others, but very few that I can credit solely to CMJ/Obner.

Being a huge Guster fan, I've needed a YSI of this for the longest time.

If you, or anyone, can hook me up, I'd be much obliged.
