If its not too bad, you can get away with shaving without any adverse effects.

I've been doing it for years and its no thicker. I'm not very hairy though, I've just got some misplaced bastards who mistakenly confuse me for a Gallagher brother and need to be taught a lesson every week or so.

So to reitterate: Colin: keep the 'stache but trim the monobrow..

A. Cutting or shaving your hair will not make it grow faster or thicker. The width of your hair shaft is genetically determined, as is the length of your anagen, or hair growth cycle.

YOU make the call!

I'm pretty sure this old wives tale (which everybody seems to still believe) is based on the observation that, as you get older and have to shave more, you seem to grow hair thicker/faster. But that's just because you're maturing, not because you're shaving.

Listen, it wouldn't hurt you to wax that unibrow either.

And yes, straight men do wax the unibrow. My friend who fronted a popular Chicago band in the 90's and early 00's waxes his unibrow and he is the straightest man I know.

Men should also trim their pubic hair, nose hair and ear hair. I absolutely love hairy guys, but neatness is a pretty big turn-on. Great. Now I want to screw a hairy guy. I hate this thread.

Okay, this is just getting to be too metro for me. I also like what little unibrow that I have because it makes the scar in my right eyebrow more visible. Love me for me!!!

dude, chicks would dig scars a hell of a lot more than a random patch of hair where it shouldn't be

that's just silly.

plucking and waxing are effective to get the hair out including the root so it takes longer to grow back. waxing is good when you have lots of little hairs but plucking is good and easy and cost-effective with coarse hairs.

yeah, but waxing makes the hair grow in softer and finer. plus, you wax once a month versus shaving twice a week.

eyebrow stubble would look ridiculous.

No my ex didn't suggest that - two of my female friends (neither of whom are romantically entangled with me) once talked about waxing my unibrow in my presence, but I didn't really take them seriously. Getting rid of nose hair and ear hair I can understand, and those few hairs that are showing up on my back and shoulders now that I am aging, and I shave regularly, but leave my pubes, my happy trail, my chest hair, my pit hair, my arm hair and my leg hair alone . . .

Close, but from a whiny bitch standpoint, this thread trumps all.

I would shave your pubes, and wax your unibrow. That's about it. Every woman I know loves a man with shaved pubes.

Also, I think the whole shaving thing is that it blunts your hairs when you shave them. So instead of having a fine tip, your hair follicle is chopped in half. Therefore, it appears to look thicker when it is actually the same size as before.

Yeah, no kidding. Never gonna happen. And with the girls, I'm still on the fence with this one, because fully shaven = vaguely pedophilic, but at least I don't cough up any hairballs.

It only itches for a little while and that a small price to pay since no pubes make you penis look longer.
